Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer Review

10134164Hello lovelies! So I purchased this little treasure a couple of weeks ago and I can’t help myself but rave to you lot about it. This concealer is SO incredibly good!

First of all, there are two compartments and three sections of the concealer: step one is a concealer for  brightening under the eyes, step two is a general face concealer and then there is a powder section in order to seal and set the concealer. There is also a little mini mirror and face pad to help you apply it.

What I particularly love about this product is the fact that the concealer’s texture is creamy and moisturising for my skin- which is especially important for my under the eye area which can get quite dried out with other concealers I have used in the past.

I think the coverage of this concealer is very good- it works for me anyway. It also sits on my face well throughout the day and only needs a brief powder here and there.

I think this concealer retails at around £10 but it is definitely worth it! It is also the perfect size for putting in your handbag!

A must have I think ladies!

Soap & Glory: Glad Hair Day Shampoo Review

P1010633Hello everyone!

So I’m not typically adventurous when it comes to shampoo because I know what I like and I, for the most part, have somewhat oily hair that needs a thoroughly cleansing shampoo. That’s why it took me so long to actually get around to testing this product.

I wasn’t sure if Soap & Glory shampoo would be the best thing for me because they are famous for brilliant smells and generally moisturizing or nourishing products. Nevertheless, I decided to purchase the ‘Glad Hair Day’ shampoo which claimed to see to my ‘moody mane’.

I LOVE IT! It smells great, it cleans well and it doesn’t leave my hair flat and lifeless like some shampoos do. It’s big and bouncy and stays clean all day. It also claims to have a ‘no build-up formula’ so it’s not a shampoo that you need to take a break from! What a bonus for the unadventurous people!

It’s a big yes from me!

Clinique: All About Eyes, eye balm review!

8109935021_0a6cf46509_zHello lovelies,

So, as many of you know, I am a BIG fan of Clinique products! Recently this product has become my favourite and I’ve been using it every day so I thought I’d share the love and rave to you lot about it.

First of all, I have only recently discovered the benefits of using eye creams and eye balms. With being poorly recently and not sleeping as much as I should, my eyes are in a lot of need right now. I love this eye cream and apply it night and day to soothe my tired peepers.

I know this pot seems small but a little goes a long way! Simply get a pea sized amount and divide this between the two eyes. Dab gently under the eye and any leftover can be dabbed on the lid.

Clinique ‘All about eyes’ not only soothes and refreshes my eyes but it also offers moisture and protection from drying out. Whether it was intentional or not, I found it to be a really good primer for eye make up.

I literally cannot fault this eye product.

I cannot recommend it enough to you lovely lot!

Village Candle- Pure Linen

P1010639Hello lovely people!

I’m a girl who cannot resist a good candle when they smell one! This particular candle caught my nose a few weeks ago and I simply had to buy it!

It’s the perfect fresh smell- it smells clean and sweet but with no added fruity scents at all. It smells like laundry day without me having to actually see to my laundry pile!

I have been burning this candle pretty much every time I sit down in my room to do anything and I just adore it. I’m not exactly sure how popular the ‘Village Candle’ brand is and, don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of Yankee candles, but this brand a little bit less expensive but still has a great range of scents.

Anyone who loves fresh but somewhat simple smelling candles, I recommend trying something like this!

100 Happy Days Challenge!

ImageHello lovely people!

I’m blogging twice in one day- oh the shock! I just thought this might interest some of you: I have decided to participate in the ‘100 Happy Days’ challenge. If you don’t know what that is, it is basically a challenge over 100 days in which every day I must post a picture of something that made me happy that day- even if I am having a bad day!

Having had a negative time recently, I would like to give myself a boost of optimism and I want to be able to find a little piece of happiness in every single day. If I succeed, I will receive a small book with 100 photos from my 100 happy days.

My happy things will probably vary but I’m sure there will be more than a few beauty related happy boosters in there somewhere! I am really looking forward to this challenge and if you would like to follow my progress then you can do so here at: http://instagram.com/hannahlouisecarrier

If you would like to know more about 100 happy days or would like to participate yourself then do head over to http://100happydays.com/ where you can read all the details yourself and get happy!

Lots of love and happiness,

The perfect trio! Bedhead Tigi styleshots ‘Epic Volume’ shampoo, conditioner and ‘Superstar’ thickening spray!

P1010646I’m always up for haircare products that promote and create volume as I have fine hair. I have actually owned these products for a while but recently rediscovered them and they are suddenly my favourites once more!

The shampoo and conditioner are part of the ‘style shots’ range and they promise ‘epic volume’. They smell like strawberries and are almost gel-like in consistency. The shampoo lathers extensively, ensuring a thorough cleanse of your hair and scalp. I can always achieve that ‘squeeky clean’ moment when using this shampoo!

The conditioner smells similar to the shampoo but is creamier in texture and sits nicely on the ends of my hair. It nourishes the ends of my hair enough so as to keep it healthy but it doesn’t weigh it down and make it greasy.

The thickening spray is amazing. You spray it on your roots before you blowdry your hair and the roots lift dramatically. It gives such a booster to my fine hair.

It is the perfect trio for big nights out!

Ghost: Anticipation Perfume Review

P1010645Hello lovely ladies!

I received a new Ghost scent for Christmas having tried most of the other scents in the brand. I think I may have found my all-time favourite and the perfect scent for me.

Having previously tried ‘Sweetheart’ which was a very sweet day time scent and having tried the original ‘Deep Night’ which is definitely a heavier, more musky and mature evening scent and those both being favourites of mine, I wanted to find something which was the perfect balance between the two.

This is it!

It’s a little less sweet than ‘Sweetheart’ but musky enough for it to be a flexible perfume that can be worn day or night and for any occasion. There are detectable notes of cranberry and mandarin with a hint of floral smells that accompany them perfectly.

It smells divine and I hope that you get a cheeky whiff next time you visit the Ghost store or any fragrance shop!

Thinking outside the box- home treatment for your hands!

ImageHello lovelies,

So we’ve all got a favourite body scrub that we relentlessly use on those pamper nights and I was thinking…why don’t we treat our hands in the same way in which we treat our bodies?

I decided to buy one of the mini pots of Soap & Glory’s ‘Flake Away’ hand cream and gave my paws a thorough scrub. It worked! All the dry winter skin was removed and my hands are silky smooth- especially when I use S&G’s ‘Hand Food’ right after.

Try it, ladies. Keep a pot of scrub next to your hand soap and treat your hands regularly.

Update and apology!

ImageHello lovely people!

I realise, as some of you have also realised, that I have not posted as regularly as I used to. I’ve been a little poorly (understatement) and had a few complications one after the other recently. BUT I am promising you that I shall be picking up the pace again now!

(Also, I will be going through emails so if you’re waiting on a response I’ll get there!)

I am currently sat next to a big pile of products that I want to review and talk about so hang on in there, I appreciate all of the support!

Also, not everything I buy is pink but I realise that’s how this looks right now! Haha!

Lots of love,

Hannah x
